The initial behavior session is a 90-minute in-home session. The cost of this session for a single dog without a history of aggressive behavior is $145 (plus a travel charge of $10/10 miles if I am traveling more than 20 miles one way from my location at 1 Shaker Lane, Duncannon). Price will be adjusted for each additional dog and for cases involving aggressive behavior. I will observe and assess the situation, we'll discuss your goals, and we can begin to develop a behavior plan and work on modifying behavior. Expectations

At Your Best Behavior, LLC, we are committed to providing effective and humane dog training services to our clients and their beloved pets. To ensure a successful and positive training experience for everyone involved, we have established the following client expectations policy:

  1. Clear Communication:

    • Clients are expected to communicate openly and honestly about their dog's behaviors, history, and any concerns they may have. The more information we have, the better we can tailor the program to meet the specific needs of the dog.

  2. Consistency and Commitment:

    • Successful dog training and behavior modification requires consistency and commitment from both the trainer and the Client. Clients are expected to actively participate in the training process, follow instructions, and practice training techniques consistently between sessions.

    • Consultant will make reasonable efforts to help Client achieve behavior goals, but makes no guarantees.

    • Client understands that behavior modification requires ongoing maintenance and reinforcement.

  3. Positive Reinforcement:

    • We believe in using positive reinforcement methods for training. Clients are expected to refrain from using punitive or harmful techniques and to focus on rewarding desired behaviors.

    • Using aversive methods will be cause for cancellation of services.

  4. Patience and Realistic Expectations:

    • Dog training is a gradual process, and each dog learns at its own pace. Clients are expected to be patient and maintain realistic expectations regarding their dog's progress.

  5. Safety and Liability:

    • Clients are responsible for ensuring the safety of their dog and others during training sessions. If the dog has any aggressive tendencies, it must be muzzled or otherwise safely managed during training. Clients must also inform the trainer of any past incidents of aggression.

  6. Health and Vaccination:

    • Dogs participating in training sessions must be up-to-date on vaccinations and free from any contagious illnesses. Clients must provide proof of vaccination upon request.

  7. Timeliness and Cancellations:

    • Clients are expected to be punctual for scheduled training sessions. If a session needs to be canceled or rescheduled, we require at least 24 hours' notice. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee.

  8. Equipment and Supplies:

    • Clients may be required to provide certain training equipment or supplies as recommended by the trainer. It is essential to have the necessary tools to facilitate the training process effectively.

  9. Follow-Up and Support:

    • After the completion of the training program, clients are encouraged to maintain communication with the trainer if they have any questions or need additional support.

  10. Respect and Professionalism:

    • We expect mutual respect between the client, the trainer, and all participants involved in the training process.

By adhering to these client expectations, we aim to create a positive and productive training environment that fosters strong bonds between owners and their dogs while achieving training goals effectively.

I further agree that these Agreements are binding for this and any other subsequent sessions that I attend.
