This class will be held at Paw Prints Veterinary Center in Elizabethville, PA. The class is hosted by Paw Prints Veterinary Center, LLC with trainer Jill Hallam-Miller from Your Best Behavior, LLC. PLEASE NOTE: You must be able to provide proof of up-to-date rabies vaccine, up-to-date distemper and parvovirus vaccines, and up to date bordetella vaccine PRIOR to the start of class. No exceptions. Basic Manners is a foundation skills class for all dogs 5 months of age and older, whether they have been with you for 2 weeks or 12 years. It is appropriate for older puppies who have not taken my puppy kindergarten class as well as for untrained dogs and dogs in need of a refresher class. The focus is on helping your dog develop skills that make communication and sharing a life together easier! Sit and down, recall, a basic stay with distractions, polite leash walking, enrichment techniques and practical tricks, as well as problem solving (jumping and pulling on leash). No prerequisite. This class is intended for non-reactive dogs. If your dog engages in EXCESSIVE barking, lunging, pulling, snarling, or growling while on leash at the sight of people and/or dogs, AND/OR your dog has a bite history with people or other dogs, this is not the appropriate class for your dog.
