Scent work is a fun skill that most dogs really enjoy! Sniffing helps your dog burn energy, provides excellent mental stimulation, and builds confidence. Detecting scent - we'll use birch in this class - is a cool new skill for your dog to learn! This class is appropriate for puppies, adult dogs, senior, and reactive dogs. Class includes 1-hour sessions over 6 weeks. In Sniffing for Fun, your dog learns to detect birch scent. You don't need much space, and you can use items found in most homes to work with. What you need for class: Lots of treats or kibble A scent kit and an extra "cold" tin (around $20...I will send you a link once you register) Containers of various kinds (boxes, plastic containers with lids, etc.) You will get a detailed email upon registration with information about required materials. Depending on your dog's age, stage of development, and physical condition, you may choose to add obstacles for climbing, moving under, etc. (please moderate appropriately for young puppies who are still developing and for dogs with mobility and/or pain issues).
