Trick Dog Class (Advanced)
Trick Dog Class (Advanced)
Build your bond, build your dog's confidence, or just have fun teaching your dog to do tricks!
Service Description
Proof of your dog's up-to-date rabies and DHPP/DAPP vaccinations must be provided prior to the start of class. In Trick Dog Class, your dog learns 10-15 tricks from the AKC Advanced Trick Dog title checklist. Submit videos of your dog's tricks for evaluation if you are interested in the Advanced Trick Dog Title. Why tricks? Tricks build confidence! Learning fun, low-stakes behaviors is a great way for shy, fearful, or anxious dogs to develop confidence. Tricks are practical. Many tricks have functional applications for day-to-day life. Tricks engage the brain! Training tricks provides mental stimulation, which is just as important as physical exercise. Tricks help build your bond. Training helps you and your dog communicate more effectively, which can enhance your relationship. Tricks are fun! Any dog, any breed, any age, can learn tricks! Schedule: Thursdays at 6:30pm from October 23 to November 13. *Please note that for AKC titling, you must have an AKC registration, PAL, or Canine Partners number (the AKC charges a one-time fee for obtaining a number, but they are in effect for the life of your dog), and the AKC charges an application fee for each Tricks title. These charges are not included in the cost of this class.
